Ecco the Dolphin

Ecco the Dolphin opens with a dramatic and mysterious seizure of the ocean life. One day, as Ecco and his pod swim peacefully, a great whirlpool and a storm of alien energy rip his family from the sea. Left alone and determined, Ecco dives through the depths on a quest to find his pod and learn what took them. He passes through ancient ruins and strange underwater architecture left by long-vanished civilizations. Along the way Ecco gains mysterious powers, including the ability to build up energy and even leap through time. The quest carries him to a confrontation with alien forces, where he struggles to recover his lost family and save the ocean itself.
